a little thing to share with all of you,
We trust consuming manufactured products with unknown ingredients.
We trust the consumption of beef when cows have been known to go mad, pork and chicken when facts support influenza.
We trust to live by the letter of the good book (bible) that has all along been written by men of historical failures, swearing that their influences are heavily supported.
We trust that a baby's breath doesn't stink.
We trust our world leaders to not let us down when they're only human just as we are.
We trust in our hopes and doubt our faith.
We trust the boarding of an aircraft to soar the skies or the engine in a car fueled by an explosive product.
We trust the air we breath, being polluted daily by factories creating more things for us to trust in.
We trust doctors to make the right diagnosis or the surgeon to have a steady hand.
We trust medicine.
One thing we tend not to trust in is ourselves. Each of us was born with a gift of trust and trust coming from yourself is a sure guarantee. Believe in you and all your abilities. Trust yourself without thought or doubt, just trust in you.

Believe in yourself that you can do it! RCYNDP 09, Here we come!

INTERNAL TRAINING
Sunday, May 31, 2009,12:58 PM

Hello Guys!!
Good effort on yesterday's training and keep it up.

Here are the details for our internal training:

Date: 02 June 2009
Venue: EVERGREEN SECONDARY SCHOOL
Time: 9.30am - 2.0pm
Attire: RCY NDP 09 T-Shirt
Black Track Pants
Black Boots
Black/White Long Socks
Things to bring: Thermometer
1.5L Ice Mountain Water Bottle
$12.5o for t-shirt (if you have not paid yet)
Personal medication (if any)

Things to take note:
1. I understand that many of you would like to purchase a new beret. There are 2 types that i would advice you to buy, D&G is one brand that u can get it from army market for $12.00. That one is the best. Another one you can get is $8.00 and is similiar to the D&G one. Now that you have been issued with a new cap badge, you might want to consider getting a new beret just to spice up the image. So please make a trip down with your friends maybe after the training on tuesday to army market and get it together. If the instructors are free, we will accompany you.

2. Those who need to get a new pair of boots, you might also want to get them from army market. I dont want you to get new boots one day before the preview or actual day and then you be a victim of shoe bites. So get them early and season your boots so they work well for you.

3. Same thing goes for your uniform. If you think you got to change your unifrom, pls rush your teacher in-charge and get it done asap. Then by the time we hit the shows and the preview your uniform will be seasoned and comfortable for you. Also you will have time to alter your uniform.

4. If your teacher owns you badges, please rush them for it and try to get them ASAP.

Only you will gain if you maintain your uniform well. You feel good and you will look good! Remember you have to e set apart from the rest by being the best in bearing and drills. You all have come a long way and are reaching that goal that we have set for you. Just a little more and you are THERE!

If you have sch/rcy camps that fall on tuesday, get your teacher to call me. This training on Tuesday will be focused on weak points and we are going to perfect your weak points. So i think that if you are a little weak, this will be a good opportunity for yourself to polish it up.

Last point, we noticed during the city march, many of you were a little breathless and out of stamina. Being tired is normal, but loosing your stamina so soon is not very good. So to build that up, please set aside 2-3 times a week for a jog, swim or engage yourself in some kind of sports especially now that you guys are on holiday. My suggestion is that yo guys within yourself organise a gathering to play badminton or go cycling. Kill 2 birds with one stone, do some exercise and also bond with your batch mates. Think about it!!!

So see u guys on TUESDAY! Have a good rest the night before and hydrate yourself, the heat is killing.....

"I know the price of success: dedication, hard work and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen." Frank Lloyd Wright

Cheers!

SONG LYRICS

We are ONE
We work in Harmony
With our Fellow men,
we are the People of this Land
We have to move ahead
To do the best we can
We are the ones to defend our land

CHORUS:
We are one, Marching on
We are the strong defenders of this country
Moving on, we believe that we can achieve
So let us serve our home
SINGAPORE

We live in unity
Working hand in hand
Within this land that we defend
We have to leave the past
To strive for higher planes
We have to train to achieve our aim

CHORUS

We push ourselves ahead, to our destiny
To make this country strong and free.
As we go marching on, we sing this melody
So let us Strive on to victory.

CHORUS
